Hermosa Beach is located on the northwest of Guanacaste, 35 minutes from International Airport Daniel Oduber and 5 hours from San Jose. Hermosa Beach is ideal for families with children due to its calm bay with gray sand beach but also within minutes for perfect places for international surfing's competitions. At Hermosa Beach you can find bars and clubs, restaurants and adventure tours who give all the facilities for renting kayaks, snorkeling equipment, banana boats and jet skis. Recently Hermose Beach was awarded by Costa Rican Institute of Tourism (ICT) with the "Blue Flag" due to its conservation efforts to keep vegetation and wildlife as other resources as clean as possible. Hermosa's Beach community has been trying to maintain the environment as clean as possible to maintain its award as one of the most clean beaches in Costa Rica. Hermosa Beach is also know for its beach to enjoy of diving, wind surfing, snorkeling and diving as well other most adventurous sports.
What to do in Hermosa Beach?
When it comes to enjoying Hermosa Beach is an easy task. By waking up early in the morning you can enjoy beautiful sounds of nature including birds and howler monkeys swinging branch to branch while they looking for food. While kayaking you will see amazing colorful fishes and the largest fish in the world (The Whale Shark) when eats plankton and algae. In the afternoon lunch while see the sunset with amazing colors. Scuba diving or sportfishing on nearby islands are wonderful options to spend the day and they are great options to see many species of fish in North Pacific.
