Manuel Antonio National Park

The Manuel Antonio National Park is located in the pacific coast of Costa Rica, in the province of Puntarenas. It is located to 157km to the south of the city of San jose and 7km to the south of the city of Quepos, between Ladies and Matapalo. |
It was established the 15 of November of 1972 with an extension of 683 hectares in the terrestrial part and 55,000 hectares in the marine part.
On one of the impressive landscapes but of all Costa Rica, the Manuel Antonio National Park counts on white sands and green foliages in the middle of great mountains. Here the aventurosos will have an endless ones of activities to make, from long walks in the footpaths of the park, to excursions in kayac by the environs of the coast, strolls to horse or fishes, of everything for all in Manuel Antonio.
Manuel Antonio is one of the tourist but famous destinies of Costa Rica, although she is of the small parks but, is between but visited, thanks to his easy access and diversity in the ecosystems.
The Manuel Antonio Nacional Park is in the zone of life tropical very humid forest. It protects patches of primary forest, secondary forest, to manglar, marine beach vegetation, atmospheres, islands and a lagoon of 14 hectares. The characteristic species of flora but within the primary forest are guácimo Colorado, the pylon, the cedar Maria, guapinol white, will surá, guapinol black, logable tree in extension danger, the papaya, cenízaro and ceiba. Manglar that it covers approximately 18 hectares, this constituted by three species, mangle Colorado, mangle white and mangle black. In the vegetation of the beach on it leaves manzanillo, tree that has a milky substance and poisonous fruits, the almond tree, the oak savannah and the Coco.
